Alissa Pletscher, DVM
Dr. Alissa Pletscher has an unending devotion to animals going back to her childhood. She grew up with a menagerie of animals such as dogs, chickens, ducks, fish and hamsters, to name a few. This experience created her love for all animals, and let her see the importance of the human-animal bond.
Dr. Pletscher graduated in 1999 with a Pre-veterinary and Biology degree from the University of Findlay, and continued on to Michigan State University to graduate with a DVM degree in 2003. She worked at Sheridan Animal Hospital from 2003 to 2012, where she first met Dr. Heather Sacks. Dr. Pletscher also has extensive ultrasound knowledge from training courses with veterinary imaging specialist Dr. Victor Rendano in 2006 and 2007.
Dr. Pletscher has two pet cats, Cash and Lily and two pet dogs, Fiona Noodle and Bill. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, exercise and fitness, and spending time with her two children, husband, and friends.
